LÖNNSTRÖM TAKES CHARGE OF GULF SARABURI FC

Mika Lönnström is the new head coach of Thai Premier League side Gulf Saraburi FC after signing a deal until the end of July.

Saraburi FC are currently bottom of the table with just one point from the opening six matches. This is Lönnström's second spell in Thailand having previously managed Roi Et United and Police United.

Following his appointment, Lönnström said: "I would like to thank the club President for the possibility to manage Saraburi. I look forward to the challenge of fighting our way out of the relegation zone.

"The previous coach did a great job at the club so big changes are not necessary. My main task is to continue the good work that has been done and also bring in some new ideas.

"We have a good team and now the most important thing is to get the players to play with their strengths.

"I would also like to thank TopSpot again for their help. Without them operating in Asia it would be much more difficult. Mr. Krit Namngern’s contacts in the region have been invaluable."

Furthermore, Lönnström's coaching group The MnM Coaching and Topspot will cooperate more closely in the future.

His first game in charge of Saraburi FC is on April 19 with a League Cup match against Surin City FC.
