WHAT IS TALENT IN FOOTBALL?

Having a talent is a specialty; it is the ability to succeed in different situations. There are different types of footballers, who have different features and abilities.

Talented players are usually versatile. They have a wide range of ability and skill, and even if they are very good in certain areas they have a great talent base.

Talented players are also creative and they are able to make quick and sharp decisions in the right moments.

However, the saddest part is that before we use to assume that talent came from each individual’s genes, meaning they were born with it.

That is simply not true. In this case, nobody is born a brilliant footballer. When you are born, you start life from scratch. But when you start practicing then things start moving in the right direction.

All the time and effort you put into practicing and everything that you get from coaching and from your surroundings makes you talented.

You become talented when you put in the required time and determination into improving your abilities. Your talent doesn’t come from genes because you are not born talented.

What you do during the first 15-20 years of your development is the key to success as a footballer.

A player’s starting point doesn’t make a big difference. The most important thing is that you believe in yourself and your own abilities, and have a strong desire to succeed. You need to have passion for what you do.

The passion one puts into practice helps one become a talent.
